Danny Letz has been a resident of Old Glory, Tx almost all of his life except for the time he and his wife were attending Texas Tech. He began playing guitar in high school and fooled with it thru college. Danny played combo rythym and lead guitar in dance bands shortly after returning to Old Glory after college. Danny experimented with learning fiddle but did not advance like he thought he should, then in the the mid 80's, took up pedal steel and has been progressing and learning ever since. Danny spent several years playing mostly north and east of Old Glory with a band called "Last Chance" then later with some guys that called the band "Letz Dance". When "Letz Dance" drummer, singer and all around good guy got sick and gave his music to the Lord that band ended. Danny also plays in the Sagerton Hee Haw and with Herman Hearn at some regional seniors dances. Danny became a member of the Dusty Creek band in 2008 and brings tremendous depth and blend with his unique fill arrangements and lead rides. Danny’s harmonic blends and bright sounds illustrate the true picture of what a steel guitar can bring to a dance band.
